Our niece, Addyson, is coming to visit for three weeks. Because she will be sleeping in the guest bedroom, I cannot work in the room that has become my home office. So, I had an idea that will work well while she is here. First, we unloaded the three bookshelves that were on the landing by all the bedrooms.
Then, Andy and John moved them downstairs.
Once in the basement, I dusted them well and then reloaded with the books.
That last step was to move my desk from the guest bedroom to the landing.
Both Andy and I decided that we should have put the bookshelves downstairs years ago. We both really like them in the basement. Once Addyson returns home in late July, I will move my desk back into the guest bedroom and we will turn the landing area into a small reading nook. This will work well for now, and then we can have a little place to read whenever we want.
