Over the past five years, the clothing and shoes in our closet have gotten more and more out of control. We were continuing to pile things without ever really removing anything because we had the space.
The sweaters and sweatshirts on the shelves were large piles – most of which I could not reach. Also, there were a lot of clothes that we just did not wear.
It was time to do something about it. I ordered new organizers from Amazon, and cleaned out the closet. Between Andy and me, we removed six bags of clothing and shoes.
After putting the organizers in place, the closet does not appear any less full, but all the clothes are visible. There were many clothing items that I had forgotten I had because everything was so crammed.
I will still need a stepstool to reach things on the top shelf, but piles of clothing will not fall on me anymore.
The closet is so much better and I am glad to have another project completed.
