Andy left early to ride the 100-mile route of the CMC 4th of July ride, and I dropped John off at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church for the last of his summer camps – Scout camp at Camp Hohn. It will be strange not having John here to celebrate Independence Day with us, but I am sure he will enjoy camp.

Laura and I spent most of the day relaxing while Andy was riding. Once Andy returned home, we went to the pool and then the three of us enjoyed a nice dinner together. After dinner, we went to Centralia, a small town about thirty minutes from Columbia, for their fireworks display. We found a nice place to sit by a small pond at their city park and hung out until it was time for fireworks.

While it was a short show, they did a great job!

I have to say that their fireworks show was better than Columbia’s show even if it was much shorter. Next year, we are going to try Jefferson City for the 4th of July!
