We visited the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis today. It was not a typical Kassel Family Spring Break trip, but you take what you can get sometimes.

We spent the day wandering through both the indoor and outdoor parts of the museum. Some of the cars on display were really impressive and unique!

I think that the Union Pacific “Big Boy” 4006 was one of the most impressive parts of the day. It is quite literally, huge.

We also spent a lot of time looking at the train track snow remover. Andy referred to it as the “Big, Spinny Wheel of Death.” There were foot marks on the side of the car that went up to about 8 feet high.

It was definitely a great way to spend the day, and both kids were appreciative of the trip. Maybe, we can take a real Spring Break trip in 2022!
