It is the first tournament of the year for the Mid-MO Stars! Unfortunately, we had a decent amount of rain overnight, so things were delayed in getting started. What was supposed to originally start at 8:30 am actually began at 11:30 am. It worked out because we got to take team pictures with the extra time. The new jerseys for this year look sharp!
We were scheduled to play two games today and the first game did not disappoint. The boys hopped out to an early lead and just never looked back.
John played really well. He had a monster hit in the first of two at bats. If he had swung just a second sooner, it would have been his first over-the-fence homerun.
Game one ended with a Stars win (8-1). The second game did not even make it a full inning before the rain came. Tomorrow will be pretty much a bracket reset. We play at 8:30 am and then we will spend most of the day in a holding pattern as we wait for final seedings for the Championship and Consolation brackets. Go Stars!
