This social distancing thing is hard on all of us. Today, Laura and some of her friends were hanging out. For the most part, they were working on building the longest hopscotch board that they could and maintaining safe distances from each other. They were up to 300 boxes at one point. It took Laura 44 seconds to hop the whole thing. Yes, I did video it.
Then, the ice cream truck appeared on our street. Food trucks are considered food service, so they get a pass with our stay-at-home order. Well, one of Laura’s friends decided to buy them all ice cream. Once we realized that Laura was also eating ice cream, we made her come home, throw the warhead popsicle away, and wash her hands. She was so upset because those popsicles are big and she LOVES them. After a lot of talking, she understood why we did it, but this whole situation is just hard. It is so hard. Once this whole situation has passed, I am buying her a truck full of those damn things or as many as I can fit in the freezer. This virus sucks.
