It was a day of projects. I started by entering new recipes on our online recipe database.
Then, I fixed the hole in John’s bean bag chair.
After that, it was laundry.
And we finished the day with hanging new shelves behind our bar. We have been saving glassware for years. You might even say that we have a glassware addiction. From beer festivals to winery trips to a shot glass from a dear friend’s funeral – all of them have meaning. We did not have a place for it all in the old house, so it went in box after box after box (totaling nearly 20 boxes). I emptied the last four boxes today! I found these shelves at Hobby Lobby about two months ago. Andy and I bought them yesterday on clearance. They match the décor perfectly! All our glassware is now stored in cabinets or on display.
It has only been 15 years in the making, my friends. As far as I’m concerned, my Memorial Day weekend is complete.
