John is TEN!!! Happy, Happy Birthday to our sweet, fun-loving, baseball-loving boy! Welcome to double digits, Wood Bat!
Unfortunately, Laura and I had to miss the rest of John’s baseball tournament because she has Girl Scout Camp check-in today at Finbrooke Program Center. This year, she and Annabelle chose Hogwarts Camp because they both LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Harry Potter. She was so excited and was so happy when we arrived!
I will miss my girl for the week, but I know she will have lots of fun! In the meantime, John’s team lost their game 7-4, but they played well. Before returning to Columbia, Andy and John joined some team families for lunch at Ethyl’s Smokehouse. John ended up thoroughly embarrassed as the staff sang their birthday song to him and presented him with chocolate cake. I am sure he recovered quickly when he saw this slice of cake!!!
Andy and John arrived home about 4:30 pm and I followed at 6 pm. What a great weekend! We are all tired though. Early to bed tonight…
