He is risen; He is risen, indeed! As always, we began our Easter morning at the Easter sunrise service. The service is always enjoyable, but we all very much missed Andy. He was on call for work and had to handle a problem right as we were leaving for the service. When the service was over, I took the kids to Shelter Gardens to take a few pictures. This is the good one…
…and this is John saying, “Yuck!” (Actually, this was his attempt at being funny. He really thought it was hysterical that Laura was kissing him.)
After pictures, we met up with Andy and Jeremy for breakfast at Bob Evans followed by the trek home to see if the Easter Bunny had stopped by. Due to the threat of rain, there were no Easter eggs hidden outside, but we stepped in the door to discover lots and lots of eggs all over the house!
I had to stop the kids from starting to pick up eggs immediately and made them find their Easter baskets first. After all, they have to have something to put all the eggs in right?!?
Laura was very excited to see an Ozobot in her Easter basket…
…while John discovered two Star Wars LEGO sets!
The kids quickly went through their baskets and then headed off in search of eggs. Our Easter bunny hid a lot of eggs around the house. The kids had a great time searching and an even better time opening them all up. Lots of candy and goodies for them!
We spent the rest of the day relaxing. Jeremy came to enjoy dinner with us. Oh, and not to worry, the Easter Bunny helped us find the last real egg. For the record, hiding an orange-dyed egg on orange Hot Wheels track makes it difficult to find. That Easter Bunny. He did the same thing last year…
