While Mizzou Baseball and coloring Easter eggs may not sound like they go well together, in fact, they do! We went to the Mizzou Baseball game on this gorgeous, Saturday afternoon. We sat in the front row and had a great view. Unfortunately, it was a long game and Mizzou lost, but it was still fun to go.
Once we got home, it was time to color Easter eggs. This is always a highlight for the kids. I usually hard boil 14 eggs, because often two will break. This year was an exception and all 14 eggs were perfect. (Did I mention my new set of pots are amazing?!?) We use the traditional coloring kit with six colors – yellow, orange, red, green, blue, and purple.
This year was different from past years because Laura and John are finally old enough to put the eggs in the dye themselves. I was afraid the eggs would break because the kids would just drop them in the dye, but both did a great job. John put eggs in the yellow, orange, and red colors…
…while Laura took care of the green, blue, and purple colors.
The result was 14 colored eggs that are all ready and waiting for the Easter Bunny tomorrow!
