It was a busy Saturday. We started out with a trip to Home Depot for Kid’s Workshop. Up this month was Lucy’s Car from “Despicable Me 2.” John decided after placing the stickers on his car that he wanted to paint it, so Mommy helped him paint his car. We had to wait until we got home to finish Laura’s car because the paint had to dry. It was such a cute idea and the kids had a great time building their “Minion cars.”
After a quick lunch at home, we headed to Lake of the Woods Pool to enjoy some fun in the sun. Laura is really quite the little fish, spending most of her time swimming under the water near the bottom of the pool. She wore Andy’s goggles the whole time. John practiced his back float a little and I hope that by next summer he is ready to really try to swim. I think he just needs more confidence.
We spent the rest of the day at home. Jeremy came over and helped Andy change the brakes on the truck. We ate a nice dinner and enjoyed a few drinks outside on the back deck. It was a relaxing end to a very busy Saturday.
