We left Charleston, West Virginia, about 8:30 am for a short stop in Staunton, Virginia, to visit with Mac McClure, another Sigma Chi Grand Praetor. We had a great lunch and spent some time exploring the town. Mac drove us by the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library. It’s not your “typical” presidential library as it is in a large Victorian home, but it was still fun to see.
After the grand tour of Staunton, we stayed to have a couple of drinks with Mac (Georgia Peach Martini anyone? FANTASTIC!) to avoid that wonderful rush hour Washington DC traffic. We did finally arrive at our hotel about 7 pm. We ate some great Clam Chowder for dinner and called it a night. On to tomorrow…
