On nearly every weeknight after dinner, I clean up the kitchen and prepare our lunches for the next day. This includes asking what Andy and Laura want for lunch and then preparing everything that I can. Andy’s usual lunch of choice is a sandwich (roast beef or salami) and all the fixings. Laura varies between sandwiches (usually cheese), homemade lunchables, and pizza lunchables. I try to take leftovers, but sometimes I take a salad or a sandwich. By the time I’m done, our lunches are in the refrigerator waiting to be packed in our lunch boxes the next morning. Speaking of our lunch boxes, those are packed and ready on the counter. A boring ritual, yes, but one that makes my less than awake mornings easier!
