Today was John’s first day at his new preschool. He was very, very excited this morning and couldn’t wait to get there!
Once we actually got there, he got very timid and shy. I stayed with him for a few minutes helping get him situated. I made his cot for naps and put away his extra clothes in his cubby. I gave him a few hugs and then left. He seemed sad, but we were told when we picked him up that he adjusted quickly. He had a very good day, which was quite a relief. He told me tonight that his favorite part was playing with all the boys, but he made sure to give Shae Shae (one of the other kids from his old daycare) a big hug when he saw her. I hope tomorrow goes as well as today did!
On a sucky side note, I went to the doctor today. Turns out, I tested positive for the flu, which the doctor believes is a reaction to the flu shot, *and* I have a secondary bacterial infection. She didn’t prescribe Tamiflu because I’ve had the flu for roughly six days. It’s basically too late and my symptoms from that were easing anyway. She did prescribe Amoxicillin for the bacterial infection and I already feel much less stuffy. Hopefully, I’m on the mend!
