Today was a big day for St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. The renovation and construction are complete and today was Dedication Sunday. Andy played his trumpet as part of the musical elements during the 8:30 am and 11:00 am services and there was a special dedication service at 10:00 am. After the services, there was an Open House with food, music, and activities for the kids. It was great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed the time. It’s so great to see the church that we were married in grow and change. The new parts of the building are just beautiful. I enjoyed wandering around and looking at everything. I have to say that I *really* won’t miss the orange carpeting in the Centrum! Unfortunately, I was not feeling well and so I couldn’t enjoy the time as much as I would have liked. I also did not take many pictures to remember the day. I did take a few though…
The cake was beautiful and it tasted great! Not enough frosting though. I mean, isn’t that the point of cake? Wait, maybe that’s just me…
The highlight for John was the Tiger bouncy house and he jumped until he was literally dripping with sweat. After that, it was time to enjoy a snow cone!
Laura spent a large part of the afternoon doing various crafts.
It really was a fun day and I wish I would have felt better. Watching everyone enjoying the renovated church building was really just a neat experience. I’m very much looking forward to the future!
