We began our Memorial Day at the parade in Downtown Columbia.
It is something of a family tradition for us and we go every year that we are in town. Laura and John especially look forward to it.
My favorite part of the parade is the bagpipers…
…while the kids love seeing the Dawn Patrol planes being pulled through the parade and all the other planes that flyover.
The parade ends at the Columbia College Soccer Field where the US Army Black Daggers and the Canadian Skyhawks parachute teams land on the soccer field. We all love watching the parachute teams!
We spent the rest of the day getting some things done around the house and relaxing. We got some time at the pool, Andy got a ride in, and Dad and Marilyn stopped by for a few hours. It was a nice Memorial Day.
